A gathering and talk at the 19th century landmark hotel (today a restaurant) with José Martí scholar Orlando José Hernández, who will focus on Martí’s life in New York City, including key encounters with other Cuban, Dominican and Puerto Rican patriots, highlighting the historical relevance of this landmark hotel in the struggle for Cuban independence.
