A musical voyage to a bygone era, featuring compositions by prominent Romantic masters from Cuba, Spain, Italy, Austria, France, and Germany, including the legendary 19th century Cuban violinist and composer José White (1836-1918), pictured at left, whose career and legacy illustrates the era’s musical cross-currents between Europe and the island.
Starring basque soprano Amaya Arberas, who will sing emblematic pieces by Bellini, Garay, Granados, Lecuona, Saint-Saens, Schubert, Sor, Strauss, Verdi and White. Accompanied by Violetta Zebbi, Piano and Marcel Krasner, Cello.
